stellazio SG

knn, odex caught a 9yr old for downloading.

kopiosatu SG

anime so cheap, just buy la

av98m SG

KNN CCB, its not cheap in Singapore and the variety sucks big time. Somemore mostly VCDs, priced higher than DVDs sold even in countries like the US.

I want to buy from places like amazon also cannot, they will not ship DVDs here.

So living here under such 3rd world conditions, I'm not suprised many choose to download instead. Not everyone travels frequently enough to be able to buy all the anime they want from overseas. Mad

Keii SG

Hanor hanor. Mad

kopiosatu SG

bangkok have alot. Twisted Evil

even the original CDs in bkk cost 140-160baht!!! that's like 6-8 bucks.

kopiosatu SG

simple, i place order. ask my colleagues to buy when they are on overseas detachments. u guys just pay for the product and mailing costs. Laughing

elindra SG

Good idea!

Odex sux

av98m SG

And someone needs to tell Odex that nobody in the civilised world watches VCds anymore. The quality sucks ass.

Even the downloads are much higher quality

kopiosatu SG

it kinda sux when they want us to buy originals and yet... the quality sux or they don't even bring it in at all.

they don't have a single original thai music CD in singapore!!!
blardi hell, its either i purchase it when i'm on holiday or i get it online.

kopiosatu SG

ok guys, next batch going overseas will be 3rd september i think.
any orders let me know before then.

or we'll just start a new topic and put all the titles there.
make sure the topic title remains as neutral as possible. Laughing

InnoHippo SG

i think the problem is they insist on censorship Laughing

av98m SG

at least CDs I can buy online, and I have been doing so.

KNN its the oroginal DVDs that I cannot buy!! So if the chee bye Odex decides not to release a particular anime I want then what can I do? Suck thumb? And as mentioned many times by others, there is also conflict of interest here.

Of important note is that Odex apparently has the legal right to commence legal action against people downloading anime fansubs of series that they do not sell, as long as they are produced by the Japanese companies that they represent, as Odex is under AVPAS directive to curb video piracy.[citation needed]

Singapore a media/entertainment hub? My lan jiao ok.

How can the CB PAP keep harping about globalisation when I can't even purchase a fucking DVD online? Or buy music from itunes? How? Rolling Eyes

kopiosatu SG

can start topic in speaker's corner, maybe it'll hit ST. Laughing

Fatum SG
